In the Era of social media and misinformation, the ways inn which we receive, evaluate and transmit information has changed significantly.BT’s 150 – year archive sits in a unique place in the history of telecommunication, including the very first telegraph patent, original designs for the public phone-box and maps and advertisements that have characterised the last decades of telecommunication.
My challenge is to reveal an aspect of this rich archive while conveying something of the current issues surrounding communication, and to consider the question: How can designers use corporate archives in a way to make sense of BT’s 150 year history?
